Q: What is a Photoshop plugin?
A: The term plugin (or plug-in) means an additional program, which works under another program (host) and enhances the host's capabilities. Sometimes the plug-in is called an add-on.

Unlike them, AV Bros. Page Curl 2.0 is NOT a Universal Application and, as a result, it does not natively work under Mac OS X on Intel-based Mac.
Q: Do your Photoshop plugins work under Mac OS X?
A: Yes, they do. But be aware that our filters do NOT work under Mac OS 9.x.
Q: Can I use your Photoshop plug-ins with the Mac OS X version of Photoshop CS5?
A: You can use both AV Bros. Page Curl Pro 2.2 and AV Bros. Puzzle Pro 3.0 with the Mac OS X version of Photoshop CS5, but CS5 is to be run in the 32-bit mode* ONLY! The current versions of the plug-ins do NOT support usage with the Mac OS X version of Photoshop CS5, which is run in the 64-bit mode.

* NO features of either of these plug-ins will be missed in this case.
Q: How do I run Adobe Photoshop CS5 for Mac OS X in the 32-bit mode?
A: To run Adobe Photoshop CS5 in the 32-bit mode, please do the following:
  1. Make sure that Adobe Photoshop CS5 is closed.
  2. In the Applications folder find Adobe Photoshop CS5 folder and select Adobe Photoshop CS5 itself and then, make the mouse right click (Ctrl+click) and choose the "Get Info" menu item.
  3. When the popup window appears, select the "Open in 32 Bit Mode" checkbox and then, close the window.
  4. Run Photoshop CS5.
If you need to run Photoshop CS5 in the 64-bit mode, then do the same procedure and just deselect the "Open in 32 Bit Mode" checkbox.
Q: Do your Photoshop plug-ins work under 64-bit version of Photoshop?
A: Windows platform: Yes, both PRO versions of our plug-ins (AV Bros. Page Curl Pro 2.2 and AV Bros. Puzzle Pro 3.0) have the 64-bit versions (along with the 32-bit versions) and, as a result, they work fine under 64-bit versions of Photoshop CS4 and CS5 for Windows. Pay attention that AV Bros. Page Curl 2.0 has ONLY the 32-bit version.

Mac OS X platform: The current PRO versions of the plug-ins (Page Curl Pro 2.2 and Puzzle Pro 3.0) do NOT support usage with the Mac OS X version of Photoshop CS5, which is run in the 64-bit mode. Instead you should run CS5 in the 32-bit mode (NO features of either of these plug-in will be missed in this case.)

A: As you wish... There are no technical problems if all versions are installed on your system.
Q: What is the time limit on the Demo versions of your Photoshop plugins?
A: There is NO time limit on the Demo versions of our filters. We use other methods to protect them.
Q: Why are your Photoshop plug-ins grayed out in the Filter menu of Photoshop?
A: Please check the image, to which you are about to apply the particular plugin. This image should be a raster image (8 bits per channel) in the color mode supported by the plugin (RGB, Grayscale or CMYK). The non-compliance with this statement is the only known reason of this problem.
Q: How do I get rid of the text "Demo Version", which is all over my image after applying your Photoshop filters?
A: This text is the protection of the Demo versions of our plugins. This will not appear on images if you use the purchased version of either of our plugins.
Q: How should I learn using your Photoshop plugins and how do I create those impressive images from your gallery?
A: Please read both the particular filter's User Guide, and the Tutorials (if present) on our site. And, of course, play with the particular plug-in, because the practice is a great teacher.
Q: Can I update the DEMO versions of your Photoshop plug-ins to the fully functional products, after purchasing? The DEMO versions are still installed on my system.
A: You cannot update the DEMO version. When you decide to purchase either of our Photoshop plugins, you will need to download the full version of this filter and install it on your system. For your convenience, we recommend that you remove the DEMO version of the plug-in from your system. (Otherwise there will be both versions in your image editing application.) Q: I have reinstalled your Photoshop filter and it is now asking for the License key... Is this correct and if yes, then where can I find it?
A: That's correct! When you run the FULL versions of either AV Bros. Puzzle Pro 3.0 or AV Bros. Page Curl Pro 2.2 for the first time, then the special License Key Validation window appears and you are asked to enter the License Key to continue working with our Photoshop plug-in.

Note! This is NOT related to AV Bros. Page Curl 2.0.

The best place where you can find the License key is the letter that you have received, when purchased our Photoshop plugin. We consider this place as "the best", because you can copy the License key from there and then, paste it into the License Key Validation window. This minimizes the possible mistypes. But if, for some reason, you have lost that letter then, you can find the License key written on the About Plug-in window. To reach it, choose the "About Plug-in" menu item from under the "?" button of our Photoshop plugin's window. Unfortunately you won't be able to use the copy/paste operation, in this case, so be accurate when you enter the License key into the License Key Validation window to prevent mistypes.

Q: The new Ambient Light Auto-Adjust option produces a great result, but not in all cases. What am I doing wrong?
A: As was said in the User Guide (p.45) of this plug-in, the Ambient Light Auto-Adjust option behaves correctly ONLY if the area, on which this option affects, is parallel to the background (The area's Altitude equal to 90 degrees.) and the light source(s) that you are using for lighting up that area is(are) the white color(s) with a positive intensity.
Q: I've tried to run Page Curl Pro 2.2 to my document, but the menu item, related to your plug-in, under the Filter menu was grayed out. What should I do?

Q: What is the difference between the Demo versions of your Photoshop scripts (AV Bros. Draftsman 1.2 and AV Bros. GuideMaster 1.2) and their full versions?
A: The Demo and the Full versions are absolutely the same, except for two differences:

  1. It is mentioned that you are using the Demo version of the particular script on its UI (User Interface).

  2. Once the script is either launched or run, the "Nag" Screen appears to remind you that you are using the demo version.
